Born in Illinois, Cathy was raised in a Military family.  This led to experiencing life in various locations including, Taiwan, and New York before eventually settling in Ohio.  Since purchasing her first home in Englewood in 1986, Cathy has worked as a successful real estate broker and is actively engaged in the local and social business communities. She is a past President of the Englewood-Northmont Chamber and remains an active member. Cathy is also a dedicated Northmont Rotarian, having been recognized as Rotarian of the Year. She has served on St. Paul’s Parish Council, advisory board at Cypress Point and is a Notary Public. Cathy served as an Englewood Council member from 2011 to 2023 and was elected as Mayor of Englewood in November 2023.  Additionally, she and her husband Mike Klingler volunteer for Our Farm Sanctuary, participate in Habitat for Humanity builds, organize food drives for the local food banks, and collaborate with various organizations upon request.

Cathy holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Dayton. She is a passionate UD basketball fan and a former UD Flyerette.

Married and residing in Englewood with her husband and furry companions, Cathy's passion for the community shines through her commitment to enhancing the city's future.
