Chief Corey M. Follick was sworn-in as the City of Englewood's Director of Police on June 30, 2023.
Chief Follick began his career with the City of Englewood in 1995 as a part-time public safety dispatcher, while he attended Bowling Green State University. After graduation, he attended the basic police academy at Sinclair Community College, which he completed in December 1999, and was appointed as a Reserve (part-time) police officer in January 2000. He transitioned to full-time status in May 2003 after working for the cities of Vandalia and Mason in the parks and recreation field. Chief Follick has served in a variety of roles within the department, including: accreditation manager, training coordinator, crime prevention, field training officer (FTO) and as an acting shift supervisor. In 2006, he was selected as the department's first School Resource Officer (SRO). In January 2015, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and supervised third watch (3-11 p.m.) road patrol operations, in addition to management of the department's property room, training functions, scheduling, public relations/social media and policy compliance.
Chief Follick earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Dayton (2005), and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University (1998).
