Per Am.Sub. HB 5 passed on December 19, 2014 by the Ohio General Assembly, and in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 718, we will be publishing our Interest Rates here. Interest Rates for 2016 and forward are based on the Federal Short Term Rate published in July, rounded to the nearest whole number plus 5%.
Interest Rate for 2026 is 9% (0.75% per month)
Interest Rate for 2025 is 10% (0.83% per month)
Interest Rate for 2024 is 10% (0.83% per month)
Interest Rate for 2023 is 7% (0.58% per month)
Interest Rate for 2022 is 5% (0.41% per month)

All residents of the City over the age of 18 are required to file an annual city tax return even if the appropriate city taxes have been withheld. If City tax due for the year is estimated to be greater than $200 or City taxes of at least 1.75% are not being withheld, estimated tax payments (declaration payments) need to be made. Taxes must be filed by April 15th; however, they must be PAID by January 15th following the year end. If not, a penalty at the rate of 15% could apply. You can receive assistance from the tax department for the calculation of estimated tax payments via email (tax@englewood.oh.us), phone (937-836-5106 option 4) or in person at the income tax counter. Quarterly estimated tax payments are due: April 15th June 15th September 15th January 15th Payments can be made to the City via our online payment system, mail or in person at City office at 333 W National Road, Englewood, OH 45322.

Yes. We offer payment plans to accounts that are in compliance with the city tax department. The payment plans are for no longer than 6 months in duration with a minimum payment of $25 per month and carry an interest rate of 6% annually. All payments for the plans need to be made using an automatic draft from your bank account and are due on the 25th of each month. The form for the automatic draft is on our website.Income Tax

Income Tax
The personal earnings of all persons under age 16 prior to January 1, 2024 and under 18 from January 1, 2024, are exempt from taxation. Persons under 18 are not required to file a City income tax unless the appropriate City income tax has not been deducted.
