Dedicated in the memory of Jason, aka Jake, Grossnickle, a resident of Englewood and a third generation Dayton police officer slain on duty in 1996, Jake Grossnickle Memorial Park is a haven for soccer enthusiasts. A new playground was also recently constructed. It is located on Heathcliff Drive behind Samaritan North Health Center and is home to Gunners FC Select Soccer. Additionally, it is the jump-off point for the Englewood Reserve Bikeway, a three-mile bike path that meanders along the scenic Stillwater River. Park your vehicle and hike, bike or rollerblade along this tranquil river corridor.
