Fire Collaborative Update

Collaborative Update_Page_1

The Clayton, Englewood, Union Fire Collaborative was formed over a year ago.  I can report it has proven a success.  A couple of noteworthy statistics.  Total incidents number 3,305 within the first six months of 2021, a 12.5% increase from the previous six months.  Perhaps a bit surprisingly, 53 working structure fires were reported including one whereby a lifesaving rescue was performed collaboratively.  Response times dropped significantly to an average 3 minutes and 55 seconds.  Five minutes is considered very good.  Englewood response times plummeted 1 minute and 24 seconds to an average of 3:31.   Truly outstanding!  Apparently, our model has drawn several inquiries from other departments who are similarly facing staffing and budgetary challenges.   Extraordinary work by Clayton Chief Brian Garver, Englewood Chief Anthony Terrace, and Union Chief Zach Marvin.
